They're not on present time..... big death flags ;-;
Big time jump episode: all this stuff is in "the past" from where we are "now" in the series.
We saw the gruff caretaker get killed in a previous episode, when that ship that was still in the air was destroyed by Knives' crew, etc...
which episode was it? can't remember right now
Yeah. Also it explains his robotic arm too
I've already thought there's a chance they're dead because who knows how long Vash has been on that planet. At least 25 years had passed since he met Rollo so how many years has passed from the crash till meeting Rollo?
seeing as "lost technology" is not exactly lost yet, something tells me the whole ship may be in danger
I have a bad feelin that everytime I come to the comments section there are (scrolls down) tons of people who never read the source material (Trigun & Trigun:Maximum) & only base their opinions on an anime that only covered 3 out of 17 volumes.
Then there’s me who hasn’t even seen the original anime. 😅
knowing the how things are in the present, I'm extremely worried for ship 3 that took him in
The Explanation I've been waiting for!! Very "generic", but I do wonder what would happen if the PLANT bloomed and stayed bloomed, does it die? Cause I feel like it's vague that an independent PLANT's duty is to keep it sleeping (If I understood correctly of course).
As a blond person, I can say we immediately look at other blonds differently and not accepting XD, we're too sus... Still don't get the metallic arm though, did I skip a part?!!
Yeah I think they've linked it to the full bloom of flowers. When flowers are not opened fully, it means they get to live more. But once they are in full bloom their petals start falling down, signifying their end. This is all a guess though.
Having a LOT of flowers I had the same thought as yours lol, it's logical.
Don't know what they're trying to say with the Plants, but there were several time jumps in this episode that weren't communicated clearly: he wakes up in his room, with an artificial arm, and then jumps back to meeting Knives, and we still don't know what happened.
We know Knives is the villain, though...
When he woke up his arm was cracked so this is he waking up after last episode, having dreamed of his past and then recalling his meeting with Nai after fleeing Ship Three, probably where he lost his arm
im sure next ep will fill in the blanks.... plus og anime watcher pretty much know the results for the most part.... sure some will change as alot of things are different even about the crash so far
I don't hold much hope for these writers...most of the treatments have been horrible, so far...😫
This version lends more from the manga than the original Trigun anime was based on. You didn't get much information because the manga only had three (of the eventual 15 I believe) volumes out when the anime came out. So it was basically Fullmetal Alchemist levels of original content/ending.
Plants in their casing are a hive mind mind. They produce whatever humans or the dominant mind inputs into them. Though they usually dedicate them to a set category. Also given time they are far more intelligent than humans.
Like any other plant, once it blooms it will then inevitably wilt.... & die. Even in their unbloomed form they are indeed awake. "Independent" Plants job is not to triage the others. They can do the same things as other Plants, just with free will.
Then again I have to repeat this is loosely borrowing from the manga, as Vash did/does have Plant powers. He just chooses not to use them or very sparingly.
Thanks <3
I think they still expect you to know what is going on from watching the first Trigun. I suggest you go watch it
not sure, i can't remember in the 1st serie much about plants.
But what we got right now, is Vash is going around world and doing counseling for Plant-people, what a nice guy xD
Is Nash, "Not Vash" or something? Also the major plot is Nai trying to get Vash to kill to invalidate his no kill policy. Also I think the plants can't be awake or it kills them
yeah not much was known about the plants in the og series. all this is new info.... Vash repaired one in a ep but it was nothing like this
yes blondes are always sus :P
him arm hasnt been shown yet in this in the o.g anime
i love the animation! studio orange never fails
I love simple 3D as well as complex 3D they give expressions an movement that 2D often just does not do because its considered not worth effort with Digital pen an resource size
hahahah episode 8 and the generic blah blah " i love studio Orange" comment. I love to see it, Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy.
Don't spend it all in one place.
RIP Ship Three aka Home next time😭
My thoughts on people saying the flags are scary
guys you can still make its depressing if new mom does not die XD
Looks like Vash's past will fully be explained, linking to the present where he is saved again by those who saved him before. I have a bad feeling though, I think Nai is going to come and kill people or something else will happen that'll leave our boy traumatized...
Why does his jail cell have a bigger window & living space than his own room? :/
& why does he just run away instead of actually explaining what happened? This is such a illogical drama move bleghhh.
4:12 Imagine to wake up, face first in sand with your body that has been flame charred.
5:17 VA Junichi Suwabe, also the VA for Yami from Black Clover.
5:32 Vash's info needs Top Secret pass to view. Probably the reason why they exist.
5:47 Conrad, as in William Conrad!?!! The sumbitch that does experiments on children!?!!
Interesting flashback we see for Vash, but I now have a problem with this revelation.
The plants I assume were created by Humans, but their very existence is to provide 'services' to their creator. This is gonna open a whole lotta questions and not good ones if Humans are enslaving a possible sentient species.
But as deranged that Knives is, and now we find out that William Conrad may have a hand in their creation. Looks like Ship 5 was more or less a prison ship for the 'Sinners,' and Conrad was their leader.
when you say problem you mean writing problem or you mean in terms of concern or lore implications being scary
Neither, basically the creation and subjugation of another species for the betterment of the creators.
We've seen this plot device in other IP's. For instance The Matrix. Humans could not let go of the fact that their creation wanted to exist peacefully with their creators.
Humans were losing badly in the war they wanted. So they blacked out the sun, hopefully the machines will stop working, due to the lack of energy.
Machines started using Humans as batteries.
Here, Plants furnish power, water, gravity as Brad said in the episode. All of them are sealed in cases to draw out their power.
Basically cut and dried enslavement.
what is your point though. Its meant to be messed up and horrible revelation. Its suppose to make you question the morality of it. Plants are what the human race created to avoid extinction
This is another episode when vash get traumatized, give him break already, where is the " love and peace" at?😅
I still prefer the OG, but the new one is starting to grow on me because it's starting to get significantly different from the OG story wise. The lack of milly is still unforgivable though, would've been perfect if she's here.
Did you read the manga that ('98) Trigun anime was based on?
quite with the idea that just because that girl stand in the corner for an episode or two its suddenly gonna make a show better
Have you watched the OG trigun??? She doesn't just sit in in the corner. Her chemistry with the rest of the cast is perfect, how she shares a goofy side with vash, how her innocence affects wolfwood as a character, and her fun interaction with meryl because of her laid back attitude contrasts meryl's up tight professional wannabe behavior. It was perfect. The drunk uncle has none of that, if anything he's the one who just stands there in the corner drinking.
i never said she did that in the old one am saying that everyone acting like her just existing in this one is gonna suddenly make it the perfect show
and now you just seem to be shitting on Meryl an Roberto of this one just because you simp off to Milly
Not perfect in a literal sense, but she would definitely make the show better. And i'm not shitting on meryl, being up tight and persistent is a part of her character in the OG and it's not a negative thing, that's just how she is, in fact, i like her for that. I'm only shitting on roberto because he's an inferior replacement for milly.
Their lays the stupid issue seeing a character that hangout with Meryl an just going oh its not like my waifu he sucks now xd
Again, have you seen the OG trigun?? Have you read the manga?? I've already laid out all the reasons on why milly's presence is better than roberto's, none of which have anything to do with waifus. Stop sucking roberto's dick so much goh damn
Wow me pointing out how this other character for this shows tone an pacing is not horrible because Milly is me fuking a man good too know am gay now :)
You didn't point out anything lmao what are you on. I'm not gonna continue because you clearly lack the information to have any actual discussion
Wow an all you pointed out was how much you love a woman an said nothing about Roberto besides Milly is better what a thoughtful two way discussion
Some face expressions are still creepy
Good ep tho
not bad at all you better not mean your saying their bad
I have seen many faces in 2D including the old show that are weird AF yet no one is bothered :D
I have a really bad feeling that Vash's new caretakers are going to be killed off next episode...
